The Adventure Begins is the first storyline arc of Thrilling Intent. It takes place in Alaran, in the adventuring facility Meadshire #7.
Plot Summary[]
We are introduced to the three main characters: Aesling, Gregor Hartway and Markus Velafi, hired by Thog to slay a creature that is causing much trouble to Meadshire #7, killing adventurers. The adventure begins, with the three protagonists being united.
As this first arc continues, they eventually find out the creature is an adventurer corrupted by an artifact called the Drum of the Destroyer. They kill it and its master, but are promptly taken away by Alarani guards by order of the guildmaster.
Trivia[]
- This is the only arc that features dice rolls in combat, though they are otherwise occasionally mentioned in other arcs (such as Markus rolling a 4 at the end of the Prison of Lights arc).
- This arc's Thrilling Intent theme appears to be an early version and can only be heard in the last episode during the chase scene.
- At the end of the arc, Markus and Gregor reach level 2, while Ashe only comes close to it.
